Tourist Visa

(This is for 2 years multiple entry Nigerian visa on a valid US passport).

Nigerian visas must be used within 3 months of issued date.

 

Documents required to obtain a Nigerian Tourist/Visitor's visa:


*Adults (Above 18 years):

 

1. Valid US Passport (at least 6 months validity - visa will be denied for anyone holding passport that expires in less than 6 months)

 

2. One recent passport photograph of each Visa applicant.

 

*Please include flight itinerary (if available),

 

*Please include hotel booking (if available), If you do not have a hotel booking,
please provide the following:

 

a. Copy of your inviters (host) Valid Nigerian Passport (if available) showing the   data/signature page with the inviters’ signature.

 

b. A letter of invitation from Nigeria addressed to the Consulate General of Nigeria. Letter must state the address where the applicant will be staying and must be signed and dated by the inviter (host). The signature on the invitation letter must match that of the inviters (host) Nigerian Passport.

 

Evidence of funds to cover stay in Nigeria. (A copy of the applicant’s bank statement, showing their name and address, hide/black out the account or card numbers).

 

Applicants who are Nigerian citizens holding US Passport and  also holding a Nigerian Passport, please provide photocopy of the data page of the Nigerian passport, expired or current. These applicants do not need to submit Letters of Invitation, bank statements, hotel booking or flight tickets.

 

Holders of non-US passports must provide proof of legal residency (Photocopy of green card).

 

Please include a self addressed prepaid return overnight shipping envelope with tracking number,

 

Regular Processing time is 5 business days. $395 money order

 

Expedited Processing time is 1 business day.  $495 money order

*Minors (0-18 years):*
 

1. Valid US Passport (at least 6 months validity - visa will be denied for anyone holding passport that expires in less than 6 months)

(This is for the child getting the visa not the Parents)


3. Photocopy of your child's Birth certificate (Do not send Original)

3. Photocopy of the data page of both parents Nigerian passport (this is the
page showing your bio data and picture) - Scanned copies are accepted, please print and include in your package.

4. Letter of consent signed by both parents and
NOTARIZED. 

(The letter must state that the lawful custodial parent and/or non-custodial parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of the child has my/our consent to travel with the specified accompanying person to Nigeria. The letter must be addressed to the Consulate of Nigeria, Atlanta. 

Scanned copies are accepted, please print and include in your package.

Business Visa

(This is for 2 years multiple entry Nigerian visa on a valid US passport).

Nigerian visas must be used within 3 months of issued date.

 

Documents required to obtain a Nigerian Business  visa:

 
1. Valid US Passport (at least 6 months validity - visa will be denied for anyone holding passport that expires in less than 6 months)
 
2. Letter of invitation from host company in Nigeria, accepting full immigration and financial responsibility as well as stating purpose of visit (and duration of stay) and signed by an officer of the host company.
 
3. Photocopy of the Certificate of Incorporation of  the host company issued by the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria
 
4. Completed Form IMM 22

STR Visa

The documents should be arranged into 4 sets. Each set must include the following mentioned documents. Excluding the fees and your valid travel passport.
 
1. Valid travel passport, must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the dates of the trip
 
2. Letter from host company in Nigeria, requesting worker to work temporary and signed by an officer of the host company.
 
3. Copy of Nigerian Immigration approval quota, (expatriate quota approval from Nigeria or approval from Nigeria for STR)
 
4. Resume, degrees, and certificates earned
 
5. Employment offer letter
 
6. Acceptance of employment letter
 
7. Police Clearance letter or Criminal Background Check.
 
8. One recent passport-sized photo
 
Holders of non–US passports must provide proof of legal residency (photocopy of green card, or resident visa)
 
 
 

TWP Visa

1. Valid travel passport, must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the dates of the trip
 
2. Letter from host company in Nigeria, requesting worker to work temporary and signed by an officer of the host company. Formal application from Host Company in Nigeria, attaching a copy of the work order indicating the exact job to be performed by the expert.
 
3. Copy of Comptroller general of immigration Approval cable visa that lists the applicant’s name
 
4. One recent passport-sized photo
 
Holders of non–US passports must provide proof of legal residency (photocopy of green card, or resident visa)
 
 
 

Emergency Travel Certificate

This certificate is usually issued to Nigerians who lose their passport while abroad. This certificate helps them to return to Nigeria. An Emergency Travel Certificate is usually valid for one journey to Nigeria only and must be surrendered to immigration authorities at the port of entry.

 

  • Proof of citizenship (Copy of Nigerian Passport)
  • 1 Passport photo

  • Letter addressed to the Consulate General of Nigeria, Atlanta stating reasons requesting for emergency travel
  • ETC good for 2 week from the date of issue.

The Nigerian Embassy at Washington DC is currently not issuing passports, Only the Nigerian Consulate at Atlanta and New York are currently issuing passports.

 

You can only expedite the processing of your Nigerian Passport at the Embassy or Consulate for a fee of $65 money order. Money Order must be payable to the Consulate General of Nigeria which you must take along with you to the Embassy/Consulate. Expedited Processing time is 1 to 5 business days, while Regular Processing time is typically 3 to 5 weeks. Applicants not expediting their passports do not need to purchase any money orders, Only Online Payments are required.  

 

All passport applicants  are required to be physically present on the appointment date specified on the payment confirmation receipt. Applicants will only be able to reschedule their appointment date after the initial appointment date has past.
